We’re Mayuri and Salil, an Indian-Canadian couple now living in beautiful Porto, and this site is our love letter to Portugal.

We’ve explored over 40 countries together, but time and again, it was Portugal that pulled at our hearts. Over the years, we returned often, for two weeks, two months, and finally forever. From sun-drenched Algarve beaches to charming villages in Central Portugal, from Porto’s riverside cafés to Lisbon’s historic tram rides, we explored every corner with wide-eyed wonder and a growing sense of belonging.

A little about us…

Mayuri was born in Sibsagar, a small historic town in Assam, India, and has always been drawn to the richness of culture and stories that shape a place. With a background in History and an MBA, she spent over a decade working in government and private sectors across Operations and HR Management.

In 2015, she began documenting her travels online, which eventually blossomed into a full-time career. In 2020, she took the leap and founded her own online marketing company, blending storytelling with strategy to inspire others to explore the world.

Salil, originally from Pune, Maharashtra, is an Engineer and MBA graduate with over 17 years of experience in the corporate world, most recently in a senior management role within Supply Chain and Operations. His analytical mind and adventurous spirit make him the perfect co-traveler and logistics mastermind behind our journeys. In 2023, he left the corporate grind behind to join Mayuri in building a life and business rooted in passion and purpose, right here in Portugal.

Together, we share a deep love for history, architecture, train travel, quaint cafés, city strolls, and good food — all of which Portugal offers in abundance. Whether it’s sipping vinho verde in a quiet tavern, wandering through medieval lanes, or watching sunsets over the Atlantic, we find joy in the everyday magic Portugal brings.

At Portugal With Love, we share travel tips, destination guides, cultural insights, moving advice, and stories from our day-to-day life in Portugal — all from the lens of two curious hearts who turned their dream of living abroad into reality.
